Saturday, March 14, 2026 — The final night came of Rolling Stone’s “Future of Music” showcase in Austin’s prestigious SXSW Festival. The event was made to showcase the up and coming future of music, covering a variety of genres. Its closing artist was BigX and his 600 Entertainment Crew, bringing lots of love to the Austin stage.

The entire night felt like a celebration of Texas, as Austin natives and others from around the Lone Star State came in droves to see X perform. The crowd was packed out, all the way up to the rafters. All the artists brought a little bit of Texas to their performance, with KevanGotBandz opening up, performing his quick bars on songs like “Shine” and “I’m Serious”.

KaineMusic came up next, showing off an intense stage presence, proclaiming that she’s a “Texas Bitch!” Shortly after her set, Yung Hood and Murdagang PB came out with their flows.

The last artist up before BigX graced the stage was INK, an Atlanta-raised singer. She has already made a huge name for herself in the country music side, with credits in Beyonce’s Renaissance and Cowboy Carter. With an already impressive catalogue, she showcased songs from her album Big Buskin, donning a stunning beige suit covered in rhinestones, very cowboy indeed. Her vocals were stunning, filling the air with her blend of country and hip-hop, sweeping everyone around her. It was an incredible performance, one that could only be topped by our guest of honor.

The moment BigX took that stage, I don’t think the decibels ever dropped in that theater. My ears are ringing even while writing this. Donning all black and huge 600 Ent. pendant and chain, he played through all of his hits, like Back On My BS, Cold, and Texas. The crowd grew louder and louder with each song, rapping along with X.

You could feel the genuine love that the crowd was giving BigX, and you could see him feeling it. He was laughing and joking on stage, it felt like we were all part of the 600 family and were making a hit moment together.

It grew even more apparent that this was a family gathering when BigX invited a boy named Braxton up on stage with him to perform his biggest hit, Texas. The kid couldn’t be more than 10 years old, but was given a loaner chain from DJ Bubba and a mic, instructed to rap along to the song with X. BigX did make it clear that he shouldn’t say every word, but the pair flew through the song, and much to everyone’s surprise, Braxton kept up.

It was an incredible night of music and family, the perfect showcase to how far BigX has come, and how much more he has to showcase.
